I am a first time customer at Randy’s and it couldn’t have been a better experience! I’m a teacher and they offer an educator discount which I so appreciated. They were also willing to accommodate my schedule and lend me a car if need be. Everyone was friendly and never pushy about getting me to agree to more services. I only went for a simple oil change and tire rotation, but they also did a complimentary health inspection of my vehicle and gave me honest suggestions about things I could address with my vehicle in the long run for longevity (including pictures and explanations). They definitely have the best pricing I’ve found in the area. I will be coming back and can’t recommend them enough!

Randy’s Staff is professional, polite and experienced. The office and waiting area is clean and accommodating. The cost estimate was very accurate and the expected time off the service was very good. I recommend Randy’s Auto to everyone!

STOP LOOKING FOR A MECHANIC! You found the right one! I moved to Medfield a year ago and have tried others in the area too. Randy’s is BY FAR the best one. The level of personal care you will receive here is unmatched. As a family owned business they genuinely care about their customers, and their community. The prices are fair, and they can give you a loaner while your car is being worked, but most of all the people are great! Friendly, honest, responsive, professional, and patient. They will give you all recommended preventative measures without being pushy, which is very rare. They are just so friendly and courteous and professional and knowledgeable. I can’t say enough good things about them! (and my kids love the people at Randy’s too!) I am so grateful I found them!

Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. All suggested recommendations were explained thoroughly. Very comfortable waiting area with complimentary drinks and snacks.

Really nice automotive shop. People were helpful and friendly. Prices are fair. They have snacks and water and their waiting area is clean. There are also baby toys which my little one loved. Overall highly recommend.

I’m glad we found a local mechanic we can trust. Randy’s is an excellent full service repair shop that goes the extra mile, e.g. giving me a ride home or a loaner. They are thorough, and check everything to find things you didn’t know were due, but they are also transparent about what is urgent and what can be safely ignored. I’ve had good luck getting on the schedule pretty quickly.

Everything from the online appointment scheduling, the ride home, to the abundance of communications, the clear explanation of issues, the up front estimates, timely work completion and ride back to the shop at the end of the day was flawless and simply not done by other auto service companies. I had an exceptional experience with Randy’s Automotive! My tires were ordered from Tire rack and Randy’s Automotive was a suggested installer so I went with them. From the moment I called in, the staff was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They took the time to explain the options I had for the tire installation as well as were flexible enough for me to drop off the car off ours (with the gas station attendant). I dropped off my car and once they started working on it, I was contacted by their team member to keep me updated on the progress. They were also able to perform the State Inspection on site which was awesome! Thank you!

I recently bought brand new wheels and tires (not cheap!) and had been dealing with a harsh vibration for over a month. I spent over $500 rebalancing, remounting, and trying to fix the vibrations. I even had to get two new tires from the manufacturer because they were suspected to be out of round. I took my car to 2 other shops and visited 3 times to have the wheels rebalanced and checked out. Even the Chevrolet dealer, after last resort, couldn’t find the issue. They charged me extra money to road force balance but never provided any proof or paperwork, and the issue was still not fixed. Took my car to Randy’s after finding them locally. Ash and Tim were very friendly and I also was able to get a ride to and from my apartment while my wheels were getting fixed. When their first attempt didn’t resolve the issue, I took it back the next day after and they were able to fix the issue free of any extra charge. Thank you to the team at Randy’s! It seems small, but having a huge vibration really took away from my car and I’m relieved it’s finally fixed. 🙂

Randy’s Automotive was very good. The printout they provided on my car’s issues was very comprehensive and included photos. Staff professional & friendly.

Helped diagnose issue and while I sent car to dealer as it was under warranty. (They asked me to check if covered) they provided great customer service and safe place to wait for a tow and offered ride home if needed. Definitely will come back when done with Warranty period.

Went in for an inspection. They were able to complete right away, and took not even 30 minutes total. Even better however, was the nice waiting room, with snacks, coffee, hot chocolate, wifi, and a TV. Well done!

The gang at Randy’s Automotive in Medfield is top notch and they stand behind their work. We had a slow leaking front tire and we set an appointment for the day after I first called. Unfortunately, the day after the work was done we found that the tire was still losing air. Hey, nobody bats 1,000, but I called Randy’s and said bring it right down. As soon as I got there they pulled another car down and got us back up and the tire has been perfect ever since. This was the only hiccup I’ve ever experienced at Randy’s, but they did everything I knew they would to get me settled. I still have 100% confidence in the team at Randy’s.

Car died on way to work, needed a new battery STAT! Called Randy’s and they said to come on right in! Easy peasy new battery installed while I sat in their well appointed waiting room. The only thing that kept me from giving them 5 stars is they *still* charged me for the battery test even though I bought and had the battery installed by them. Just seemed like a redundant charge. 🤷‍♀️

Randy’s is our go-to auto repair shop. Excellent service. Great communication. We go back time and time again for all our auto service needs. Love those chocolate bars!

If your in the Medfield area, looking for a premium service experience with expert technicians attending to your automobile, this is the place to visit. Along with that premium experience does come pricing that is comparable to a dealerships service rates, but that old saying of “you get what you pay for” absolutely holds true at Randy’s. Here was my recent experience at Randy’s Automotive.  I brought in my 2003 BMW Z4 to have the valve cover gasket replaced. It was leaking oil on the exhaust manifold and creating quite an unpleasant smoke in the cabin. Both service advisors, Ashleigh and Stephany, were massively informative, friendly and transparent when I called in to book the appointment. They took in the ol’ Z4 and gave it a thorough inspection, pictures and all.  They texted me a detailed report on the condition of the vehicle and a list of legitimate recommended services, and I agreed to just have the valve cover service done, offering complete transparency with pricing and what work is going to be done. After the work was done, I picked up the car and noticed that after a couple days of driving I was still smelling a bit of that burning oil smell. (They did mention it would take a week for the residual oil on the manifold to burn off, but I was experiencing a little more smell and smoke then I expected). I called up Randy’s, explaining what I was experiencing, and they did not hesitate to schedule me in ASAP to take a look at it, loaner car included. They cleaned up the problem area as best they could and took it for a proper test drive to replicate the problem, at no cost to me of course. Most likely when they changed the valve cover gasket, some oil spilled onto the exhaust manifold, causing a prolonged burn off period.  No biggie. The point is, the ease of communication and attentiveness are truly exemplary. Are their prices overly expensive? Not necessarily… it all has to do with perspective and past experiences.  Sure, I could have had my valve cover gasket replaced for half the amount, but would I have had the level of service, transparency and accomodations Randy’s provides? Maybe not as much at another shop. I think it’s great to come to a place like Randy’s where they check out every nook and cranny of your car, keep you completely in the loop of what’s going on and have loaner cars to accommodate you while your car is being worked on.  Also, their facility in general is extremely well kept. Clean and organized with one of the nicest customer lounges I’ve seen at a non dealership shop. Give them a try and see for yourself.  It’s gonna be on the pricier side, but once in a while it’s nice to get that premium experience and feel that high level of confidence in the workmanship.

Randy’s really takes the time to make their customers feel important. From local drop offs and pick-ups to continuous updates on your car’s progress I really felt taken care of by this shop. I also liked that they asked for my car’s history. They make it easy to want to return!

Amazing customer service! I’m a tow truck driver and came to drop a car off during this past winter storm and the wonderful woman at the front desk made sure I left with some hot coffee and a snack for the road! Very friendly and inviting environment, Highly recommend!

Dropped off my SUV in the morning for inspection, oil change, etc. Got a loaner car for the day. Stephany and Ash were excellent! Communicated with me during the day. The tech even put my new license plates on:-)

I had a great experience at Randy’s! It had been a while since I had any maintenance performed on my car. The team did a great job providing me with transparent and detailed information about what needed to be done to get it back in shape. Stefany and Ash specifically were incredible. I felt safe and cared for, and the whole process couldn’t have been easier. An added bonus was the ability to use a loaner car while they were working on mine. My car is now running better than it has in years. Overall a great experience!

Randy’s Auto was very great to work with. They were prompt in their feedback to me and in their diagnostic, they made things very clear around what our problems were and what our options were. Stephanie specifically was very great to work with. They let me keep the car there for a little bit while we figured out our options, and overall we were delighted by our experience. On very short notice, Randy’s Automotive was able to replace my car’s tires. They gave me several options to choose from, all of which were priced competitively. As we agreed on a plan late in the day, and I had many commitments that evening and the following morning, Randy’s loaned me a car, free of charge, to use while mine was in their shop. The person who I interacted with, Stephany, was simply a pleasure to deal with, listened to me, and had a calm, trustworthy way about her. Randy’s replaced, balanced and aligned my new tires, vacuumed my car and…. I’m not kidding here…gave me a chocolate bar and a handwritten note, thanking me for choosing them. As much as needing 4 new tires isn’t the best scenario to find one’s self in, Randy’s made the whole process easy and pleasant.

After spending 3+ days on-site with the RMV trying to transfer an auto registration and change license from RI to Mass I needed an efficient, timely inspection process. I called Randy’s and they told me to come in that afternoon. The were quick, efficient, professional and had great customer service.

Each time I come here, they are welcoming and friendly, be it for an engine repair or something as simple as an inspection sticker. Whatever steps are needed, they’re very clear about what they’re doing, how long it will take, and then with followup afterward. I highly recommend Randy’s for all your automotive nerds.

Even though I was discouraged by the receptionist, to bring my car in at that time, and then informed it would be over an hour if I waited & should consider leaving my car, my car was done & fully inspected within 20 minutes. The men who came to speak to me were great. I have had my car inspected there before, no problems, always treated well and had great service.

I highly recommend Randy’s! Not only did they fix my brakes, when they found out how long it would take to repair some messy lines they gave me a loner car for the week. They drove me there to retrieve it! Plus a thank you note and chocolate bar when I picked my car up. They were friendly and professional and now that I have great brakes I will be stopping there again!

Service and delivery time were good. Estimate held. Offered 3 replacement tire options. The least expensive option were competitive in spec to higher cost option. Overall a little pricey.

I ran in to get my car inspected. The team was friendly from the start. Gave an accurate estimate of the wait/complete time and offered a really nice seating area with beverages and snacks. I heard them great each new customer as they entered or answered the phone. Great customer service, good waiting area and spot on for timing of work/wait. I cannot comment on price as it was just the inspection. Will come back for other work in the future based on this experience.

I pulled into the station to put some air in a tire only to discover the valve stem was leaking air and wouldn’t stop. The crew at Randy’s was so helpful. They identified the issue, got my spare on, and had me on my way in 15 mins. For $20. The shop has a bright, clean, comfortable waiting area and staff couldn’t be nicer. I think I just found a new repair shop!

The service at this station is amazing. They are all very professional and knowledgeable and their prices are reasonable. The gas prices are one of the lowest in the area . If you need to wait for your vehicle they have a very clean, comfortable waiting area with complimentary beverages and snacks. It is the cleanest service station I have ever been in.

I woke up in a panic yesterday morning, realizing that my inspection sticker had expired and I needed a new one. I was rushing between meetings and thought this was going to wipe out my entire morning. Randy’s to the rescue! They got me in and out in 20 minutes, and I even grabbed Starbucks before my next call. Couldn’t be happier. Excellent service!

I was impressed with the size and cleanlilyness of their facility. Their waiting room was clean, comfortable and provided some snacks. They offered to bring me home and pick me up when work was done. I was treated politely and professionally. I’ll be back when I have something I can’t or don’t want to do.

I was on my way to work and I popped a tire. I stopped in to see if they could fix it while I was at work and not only did they fix my tire but they also gave me a ride to work so I didn’t have to walk. Within a hour I was notified that they were able to fix the tire instead of having to buy a new one. Thank you for getting my Jeep all set so I could get back on the road. Places like Randy’s Automotive aren’t supposed to exist any more; we’re supposed to get everything done at dealerships or chain outfits. And, if they do exist, it certainly shouldn’t be anywhere near an urban area. Yet, Randy’s does exist and offer superb, personalized service at a fair price, and does so in Medfield, Massachusetts. Over the years they’ve fixed flats, sold me four new tires, found the source of strange engine noises, and told me, very gently, my car was at the end of its useful life. Please patronize this business. It is a treasure.

Randy’s is our go-to for all car maintenance. They are extremely knowledgeable, honest, friendly and reliable. Very easy to communicate with them via text or phone, and their office is clean and comfortable when waiting for our car to be serviced.

A pleasant experience! Stopped by on my way home to fill up on gas and remembered my state inspection was due (like 3 months ago). Staff was quick and friendly, and the waiting area was comfortable and has coffee and Wi-Fi.

I have enjoyed doing business with Randy’s the last few years. It’s probably not the cheapest shop in the area but due to the level of trust I have in them, I am hardly ever phased by the price and have never considered going anywhere else. At the end of the day, I just want the work to be done well and in a timely manner and they deliver and exceed my expectations every single time.

Update I am changing my review to 5 stars. I went back and they did excellent work on my car. They explained things to me and thoroughly explained their work, and what happened with the mistake described below. At first I thought they were really good, then I brought my car there for a failing wheel baring. They called me midday to confirm my wheel baring needed to be replaced and during that call they did the hard upsell of all that I needed fixed. I’m used to that from car repairman and, though annoying, nonetheless expected. What really turned me off to them for any future business was that during that call one of the things they said I needed was a serpentine belt, which they replaced themselves just 8 months before. I questioned the guy about that and he said that it looked “worn.” I asked how could it be worn when they themselves just replaced it 8 months ago, I’m still not driving that much, and the previous one lasted 100,000 miles. He looked it up and saw they replaced it just a few months ago. Either they didn’t replace it a few months ago and charged me for it or they didn’t really look at it and tried to sell me a new one anyway. Needless to say they lost all credibility with me and I’ll not be going back.

I cannot say enough positive things about how Randy’s helped me with my car. I blew out a tire from a terrible pot hole on Rt. 109. I had my car towed to Randy’s and I’m so glad I did. They went above and beyond to problem solve the missing wheel lock for my BMW tires. They made many many phone calls to get a new wheel lock delivered to their station so that they could do the work necessary and quickly as I needed my car back within 24 hrs. They did an amazing job. And my car is driving even better than it was before the service. I highly recommend Randy’s. They are so customer-focused and go above and beyond, which is rare in their industry. I needed work done on the power steering on my 2012 Chevy Impala. Another shop had tried several times with no improvement. At Randy’s they ordered the parts on Thursday afternoon and completed the work on Friday and I had my car in time for the weekend! Their professionalism and technical ability was much appreciated. I brought my car here for a state inspection and was in and out within 30 minutes, and on the last day of the month no less! Everyone was very friendly and professional, they even had a comfortable waiting area with refreshments. We will definitely be going here from now on!

I used AAA to drop my car off rather abruptly at their shop (sorry. Head injury. Wasn’t thinking straight) and they not only took it in grace and stride, but replaced the tires within 24 hours and remained in contact with me the whole time. Swift, courteous service. Will be using them again.
