The gang at Randy's Automotive in Medfield is top notch and they stand behind their work. We had a slow leaking front tire and we set an appointment for the day after I first called. Unfortunately, the day after the work was done we found that the tire was still losing air. Hey, nobody bats 1,000, but I called Randy's and said bring it right down. As soon as I got there they pulled another car down and got us back up and the tire has been perfect ever since. This was the only hiccup I've ever experienced at Randy's, but they did everything I knew they would to get me settled. I still have 100% confidence in the team at Randy's.

Car died on way to work, needed a new battery STAT! Called Randy's and they said to come on right in! Easy peasy new battery installed while I sat in their well appointed waiting room. The only thing that kept me from giving them 5 stars is they *still* charged me for the battery test even though I bought and had the battery installed by them. Just seemed like a redundant charge. 🤷♀️

If your in the Medfield area, looking for a premium service experience with expert technicians attending to your automobile, this is the place to visit. Along with that premium experience does come pricing that is comparable to a dealerships service rates, but that old saying of "you get what you pay for" absolutely holds true at Randy's. Here was my recent experience at Randy's Automotive. I brought in my 2003 BMW Z4 to have the valve cover gasket replaced. It was leaking oil on the exhaust manifold and creating quite an unpleasant smoke in the cabin. Both service advisors, Ashleigh and Stephany, were massively informative, friendly and transparent when I called in to book the appointment. They took in the ol' Z4 and gave it a thorough inspection, pictures and all. They texted me a detailed report on the condition of the vehicle and a list of legitimate recommended services, and I agreed to just have the valve cover service done, offering complete transparency with pricing and what work is going to be done. After the work was done, I picked up the car and noticed that after a couple days of driving I was still smelling a bit of that burning oil smell. (They did mention it would take a week for the residual oil on the manifold to burn off, but I was experiencing a little more smell and smoke then I expected). I called up Randy's, explaining what I was experiencing, and they did not hesitate to schedule me in ASAP to take a look at it, loaner car included. They cleaned up the problem area as best they could and took it for a proper test drive to replicate the problem, at no cost to me of course. Most likely when they changed the valve cover gasket, some oil spilled onto the exhaust manifold, causing a prolonged burn off period. No biggie. The point is, the ease of communication and attentiveness are truly exemplary. Are their prices overly expensive? Not necessarily... it all has to do with perspective and past experiences. Sure, I could have had my valve cover gasket replaced for half the amount, but would I have had the level of service, transparency and accomodations Randy's provides? Maybe not as much at another shop. I think it's great to come to a place like Randy's where they check out every nook and cranny of your car, keep you completely in the loop of what's going on and have loaner cars to accommodate you while your car is being worked on. Also, their facility in general is extremely well kept. Clean and organized with one of the nicest customer lounges I've seen at a non dealership shop. Give them a try and see for yourself. It's gonna be on the pricier side, but once in a while it's nice to get that premium experience and feel that high level of confidence in the workmanship.

Amazing customer service! I’m a tow truck driver and came to drop a car off during this past winter storm and the wonderful woman at the front desk made sure I left with some hot coffee and a snack for the road! Very friendly and inviting environment, Highly recommend!

I don't normally leave reviews but had such a negative experience here that I feel obligated to. Randy's quoted me $5,000 for repairs to my 2015 Honda CR-V, and suggested that with the high cost of repairs, I consider selling it, and financing a new car with them instead. Mind you - the car is less than 8 years old with 119,000 miles on it. Limiting only to what they deemed critical repairs to the braking system (all new calipers, rotors, brake pads, brake fluid flush, etc.), their quote still came out to over $3,000. Never have I ever heard of a Honda brake repair job costing this much money. When delivering the quote for service, Stephanie asked me who else she should send the work authorization to. I am 29 years old, the car is in my name, and I never indicated that another person would be paying for the services. I am so disappointed in both the price gouging and lack of respect. Despite being under a time crunch, I decided to take it to another shop for a second opinion. I was advised by Randy's that "the vehicle is unsafe and should be towed" and was made to sign a release when I picked it up. Randy's also charged me $140 for the quote. I brought the vehicle to a very trusted shop in Needham and explained my situation to them. The part that has me most upset: the next shop informed me the car is entirely road safe, the brakes are still functioning (may need to replace the rear set in 10,000 miles), and they cleaned the rotors for me. They charged $130 for the entire service, which also included new windshield wipers and an inspection sticker. All this is to say, I would not recommend Randy's under any circumstances.

I had a great experience at Randy’s! It had been a while since I had any maintenance performed on my car. The team did a great job providing me with transparent and detailed information about what needed to be done to get it back in shape. Stefany and Ash specifically were incredible. I felt safe and cared for, and the whole process couldn’t have been easier. An added bonus was the ability to use a loaner car while they were working on mine. My car is now running better than it has in years. Overall a great experience!
